Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using Medevidex, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Account registration
To use Medevidex, you must create an account using a valid email address or Google sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must provide accurate information during registration. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.
Permitted use
Medevidex is designed for healthcare professionals and researchers to query their own medical literature using AI-assisted retrieval. You may use the service for personal professional purposes, including clinical reference, research, and continuing education.
Your use of Medevidex is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Intellectual property
The Medevidex platform — including its design, code, branding, and documentation — is the intellectual property of Medevidex. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the service.
We do not claim any ownership of documents you upload. Your content remains yours. See our Content & Copyright Policy for a detailed explanation of how we handle uploaded documents.
User content & uploads
You are solely responsible for the documents you upload to Medevidex. You represent that you have lawful access to any content you upload and that your use of it through our platform does not violate any applicable copyright, licensing agreement, or other legal restriction.
Medevidex does not review, verify, or endorse the content of uploaded documents. We process your documents solely to enable search, retrieval, and AI-assisted querying within your private workspace.
Documents you upload are stored in a tenant-isolated environment accessible only to you. We do not share, distribute, or use your documents for any purpose beyond serving your queries.
Credits and subscriptions
Medevidex operates on a credit-based system. Credits are consumed when you ingest documents (per document) or send chat queries. Free accounts receive a monthly credit allocation. Paid subscriptions provide additional credits and storage.
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time — your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. Unused credits do not carry over between billing periods.
Service availability
We aim to keep Medevidex available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes in advance.
Limitation of liability
Medevidex is a document retrieval and AI-assisted reading tool. It is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or clinical decision support system. AI-generated responses may contain errors — always verify against the original source material.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Medevidex and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to clinical decisions made based on AI-generated content.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, all your uploaded documents, derived data (chunks, embeddings), and personal information are permanently removed from our systems.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or our Acceptable Use Policy. In cases of termination for cause, we may delete your data without prior notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from your use of Medevidex shall be resolved in the courts of Malaysia.
